About
Hi, I'm Shaunta (Shaun-TAY).
I've been supporting families in Alabama, Georgia, and the Upstate of South Carolina for over 20 years — first as a pediatric and postpartum nurse, and now as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).
My passion for breastfeeding began when I was a first-time mom. I still remember sitting in a class, watching a mother feed her baby, and feeling completely amazed by what the body could do. That moment stayed with me. I went on to breastfeed all five of my children, including a set of twins, and that personal experience continues to shape the way I support families today.
As a postpartum nurse, I found my calling in helping new and experienced moms navigate feeding with confidence. Over time, I advanced my training to become an IBCLC, allowing me to provide deeper, evidence-based care to the families I serve.
Whether it's prenatal breastfeeding education, the first latch, concerns about milk supply, slow weight gain, pumping, returning to work, or weaning — I'm here to guide you through it with clarity and compassion.
